Same journalist reported that the way DICE designs/tests the game is far too different from how it is played outside their studio. The experience should prevent car designers from making 7-wheel cars, but somehow DICE just keeps doing it, and surprise to nobody, it goes wrong. Someone just made many bad design choices, never reflected on how it affects the game balance, or looked at how previous BF (or extraction-royale) games how those choices never worked. Plenty problems in BF42 are not time-constrained or guided by some EA-executives. People just have to accept the fact that DICE is not the same anymore no matter who is publishing them. I also want to note that harassing the developers who have absolutely no creative control is idiotic and totally wrong. I don't mean this in a way where the the individual developers are bad, but it's so damn clear that EA could give all the money and time to DICE they wouldn't be able to deliver what the players want because the managemnt at DICE themselves have no clue. When the next project gets announced everyone hops on the hype-train because 'this time the publisher learnt the lession and gave the devs the space/time they needed'. Somehow every time a giant lemon comes out from a once famous studio it's always the publisher's sole fault. Point is, blaming the publisher and not realizing that the studio might just simply be gone is a mistake people make all the time. EA is also responsible for how things went, they clearly cannot manage their studios because they have exacly two modes 'make another game NOW and we'll be breathing down your necks' (aka ME3) or 'I don't even give a fuck here's a bunch of money and time' (aka MEA). When the studio is creatively bankrupt and has absolute arse management, the publisher isn't going to wait forever for a good product to turn up. Same happened with BioWare and Andromeda.

I really don't get this 'EA bad, didn't give enough time'. This game got the largest pool of developers and dev time since forever as a BF game.
